MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Double Act is a new collection of 30 instrumental duets, arranged from popular folk songs, well-known classical melodies, hymns and popular songs, spanning many centuries of music from many countries.
As well as the pleasure of playing these duets, the pieces will develop players' technique. The melody is shared between the parts, with each carrying the tune and accompaniment, encouraging musical ensemble playing. The jazzier arrangements feature strong syncopation to help develop a sense of rhythm, whilst slower pieces concentrate on timbre and tuning. Short pieces can be repeated swapping over parts for variety.
