Piano - Classics to Moderns
There are now three different series of Classics to Moderns, published by Yorktown Music Press - the original series and More Classics to Moderns, both first published in the 1970s and the more recent New Classics to Moderns.
Compiled by Denes Agay, the books are a panorama of original piano pieces exactly as written by the master composers of three centuries, providing the pianist with a repertoire which is enjoyable for player and listener alike. The pieces are sorted progressively, increasing in difficulty through the books and series making this a really useful set of books for those who would like to gauge their progress through the grades without taking those pesky exams!
